How do I rent an Accessible Vehicle?

This process is quite easy, just contact Enaya Cars Rental either through our web site at www.enayacar.com or by phone at +97150 647 2949. Once the reservation is received, a member of the Enaya Car Rental team will contact you by phone, to confirm the reservation and take down the necessary information.

What is a wheelchair accessible taxi?

Wheelchair accessible taxi have ramp or a passenger lift to assist the wheelchair user with getting into the vehicle, which is far easier than transferring from a wheelchair to a car seat and dismantling the wheelchair for the journey.

Can you deliver and pick up the Rental Vehicle?

Yes.  In most cases, Enaya Car Rental can arrange delivery and pick up of our vehicles.  Delivery fees are based on distances.

Do your Rental Vehicles have hand controls?

At present Enaya Car Rental does not rent vehicles equipped with hand controls.

How old do the drivers have to be?

All licensed drivers must be over 23 years of age and have a full Valid UAE Drivers License or International license which are recognized and Approved by UAE Transport Authority.

Do I need to buy extra Insurance?

Enaya Cars Rental vehicles are fully insured with the mandatory Oman car insurance. However the renter is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle due to Renter’s Fault while they are renting. This responsibility can be Paid by Cash or Cheque as Security Deposit and will be returned back once the Van is returned

Is there a charge for Mileage?

Charges for one day, one week, one month is different. You can call us and get information about all charges.

How many Wheelchairs can fit in the Rental Vehicle?

Our Dodge Grand Caravans’ can accommodate up to one (1) wheelchair at one time with four (4) seats as Ambulatory. The Hyundai H1  Can accommodate 1 wheelchair with five (5) seats Ambulatory.

How many passengers can the Rental Vehicle hold?

Our Dodge Grand Caravan can hold up to five (5) passengers, including the driver in addition to the Wheelchair occupant. There are different seating configurations, so the total available seating may change. The Hyundai H1 can accommodate Six (6) passengers including the driver in addition to the wheelchair occupant.

How is the Wheelchair secured inside the Rental Vehicle?

We use a “QStraint” system to secure the wheelchair. This is a four point locking  system. There is both manual and automatic QStraints in the vehicle.

Do you show me how to use the “QStraints”?

Yes. A Enaya Car team member will show how the tie-downs work and the additional safety equipment in the Rental Vehicle. This procedure is also written down and a copy of the operation is in the Rental Vehicles’ information folder.

Does the Rental Vehicle have an Accessible Parking Permit?

Most of our vehicles have an accessible parking Sticker which allows you to park in designated accessible parking areas when you have a passenger that requires access to these areas but not permit therefore you would require to pay for parking charges

Can I list more than one driver?

Yes. All licensed drivers can be recorded on the Rental Agreement.

​

Can your vehicles go out of Province/Country?

Yes, as long as we are aware of this and you have proper insurance coverage to do so.

​

Is there a charge for extra drivers?

No. There is no charge for additional drivers.

​
